Diego was an amazing experience. The people were fantastic. So laid back, comfortable, fun... I loved it. Had a great time, and built a wonderful portfolio to build my business. But then my Grandmother became really sick with breast cancer and I realized that it was more important for me to be around family then live on the other side of the country. I can visit after all! So I moved back to RI and in with my Grandmother to help her out as much as I could. I moved to Newport in 2009. December 2010 I opened the official studio, "Photography by Caitlin."

Starting the studio has been an amazing life changing experience. I love it here in Newport. And while I still do weddings all over the place (since I'm mainly a word-of-mouth business)... I do love the atmosphere here in Newport. I'm still building, working it... and ALWAYS trying my hardest to create great images for my clients... Maybe you'll be the next!

I love putting my clients at ease. Through conversation and a bit of fun, I create a relaxed atmosphere for natural photographs. These are going to be your photographs. Let's take some pictures that are all about you, and your personality! My inspiration to photograph people, is the uniqueness of each person or couple I work with. I am fortunate not only to work with couples on one of the most important day's of your life, but to be accepted at the event or shoot as a friend.

I grew up in Barrington, RI and graduated in 2001. Next stop was Colby Sawyer College where I graduated with a BFA in Fine Arts with concentrations in Photography, Sculpture, and ceramics. (I love art!) Graduation was 2005. Next up, Nantucket, MA... I lasted a summer. Loved it, but needed to move on. So, San Diego CA was next. San
